Human beings aren’t the only ones who need companionship in this world. About 2.45 million dogs die every year in shelters due to lack of adoptions. Right here in Las Vegas, our shelters are full of unwanted animals that just want to be loved.
If you find your life is lacking a little something, maybe a friend to share some time with or a great excuse to get out and get active, here’s a solution for you. Adopt a four-legged friend at a local shelter and then take your new pal to meet some new people. In Las Vegas alone we have an abundance of shelters (both kill and no kill, although I recommend adopting from the former) including the following just to name a few:
Las Vegas Valley Humane Society
The Animal Foundation (Lied)
Heaven Can Wait
Henderson Animal Control
And don’t forget about all of the animal rescues that we have here in town
Dogs make wonderful companions and can fill a void like nothing else can. Also, your new friend can even help you make new friends in your area. Frucle (http://www.frucle.com) is a new social networking site that is specifically for finding new friends near you who share similar interests. Once you’ve met a few new people on the site, organize an event with their Meet Up & Save feature. Then take all your new friends, the two-legged and the four-legged varieties, to one of the awesome dog parks that we have here in Las Vegas (http://www.dogparkusa.com/nevada/las-vegas). If you’ve never been, I highly recommend Dog Fancier’s Park on the east side of town. This park is 12 acres of pure doggy bliss. There are plenty of places to picnic with you new pals or you can take advantage of all of the awesome local restaurant coupons on Frucle and meet for a bite with your pets before heading to the park!
Whether you help out a shelter pup or have several of your own already, lots of other dog owners are out there just waiting to be met. Check out www.frucle.com and local area shelters and get ready to meet all sorts of new friends!

Hey, found your site by accident doing a search on Google but I?ll definitely be coming back. ? How can I believe in God when only last week I got my tongue caught in the roller of an electric typewriter?
